JONES & Co. has been licensed as a Public Accounting firm for more than twenty years, providing consulting services in connection with prospective transactions, issues of value, issues of accounting and financial reporting, and measures of loss.  Our experience includes services to banks, insurance underwriters, private equity groups, universities, manufacturers, not for profit associations, broadcast media, real estate holding companies, law firms, managed care companies, physician groups, automobile dealerships, motion picture releasing, motion picture editing, municipal government entities and individuals.

Our services to Audit Committees, Boards of Directors and General Counsel include performing  financial investigations regarding accounting and financial issues, the financial propriety of practices, procedures and transactions, and fraud investigations concerning fraudulent conveyance, defalcation or embezzlement.

Our services to banks, other financial institutions and investors include identifying avenues for  recovering value from existing loans and investments.

Our services to lenders and investors with real estate exposure include evaluation of available exit strategies, both bulk and piecemeal, and estimation of costs for alternative completion scenarios.

Our services to holders of patents, copyrights and other intellectual property include determination of lost profits or reasonable royalties, and the attribution of costs to the subject products in multiproduct production/marketing environments.

Our services to companies anticipating transactions include due diligence assistance, valuation of components of the transaction, and an evaluation of the cost history of projects or recently-acquired assets.

Our services to companies involved in post-closing disputes include a review of the conformity of books of account to the terms of transaction, determination of differences and the effect on value.

Our services to secured creditors with collateral in Chapter 11 include evaluation of the performance of the debtor in possession or Trustee, and determination of the feasibility and limitations on plans of reorganization.

Our services to parties in construction contract disputes include tracing of actual costs to contract, determining differences due to delay, design change and other factors, allowing for change orders, accounting for recovery from completion bonds, and the segregation of remaining costs into allowable and unallowable categories.  Such engagements may be performed in coordination with other experts, such as engineering design experts.

Our services to individual investors and companies with non-controlling interests include evaluation of the management, performance and prospective performance of investee companies.
