Conservatorships and ReceivershipsConservators may realize that unrecorded assets may exist. Conservators and Receivers alike may want to determine if undocumented obligations exist, and may want a search for unrecorded financial assets, claims and business interests. We work from financial transactions, tax returns, insurance policies and correspondence to determine what other assets and claims may exist. This approach works well with business entities and investment partnerships. It is less suited to individuals who may have concealed a single bank account, for example. Determining and reporting the causes of past losses, policies or persons responsible and remedial actions may be appropriate in some circumstance. Our long experience in determining loss causation and measuring the costs of specific operations and policies enables us to perform such analysis efficiently. Our experience in reporting to courts and arbitrators is helpful in this regard as well. Business Valuation services to properly measure the value of business entities or operations are appropriate in many circumstances. |
